The Holy of Holies of Biblical Prophecy - Dismantling Dispensational Theology
A well-known pastor recently laid out thirty-seven numbered events of the end times in under an hour — the rapture, the treaty, the temple, the mark, Armageddon, the kingdom. Rapid-fire citations. Confident delivery. And one instruction repeated to his audience: don't listen to me — go check the Bible yourself.
So we did.
What we found wasn't heresy. It was something more interesting. All thirty-seven points hang from a single word in Daniel 9:27 — the pronoun "he." Who confirms the covenant with many for one week? The presentation assumes it's the Antichrist. It never argues for it. And the verse never says it.
This episode follows that one pronoun and watches what happens to everything built on top of it. Along the way: why the New Testament never once mentions a seven-year tribulation but names three and a half years seven times. Why "Matthew 24 has nothing to do with Christians" runs into a sentence from the lips of Christ. And why Peter, preaching the first Christian sermon, said something about the throne of David that many of us have been taught to deny.
Bring your Bible. That was the assignment.
