Why No Christian Persecution in America? It's Not What You Think.
We wander of the Red-letter trail today. I was asked to host a Bible study about persecution in America, or the lack thereof.
When we talk about persecution in America, most people shrug and say, “We don’t have any real persecution here. Not like China, or North Korea, or the early church.”
But maybe the reason we don’t feel persecution isn’t because it doesn’t exist — maybe it’s because we’ve bent under it. We compromise, we assuage, we bow to the person with the loudest voice.
Let's face it. Americans are pumped up... or puffed up! Our allegiance speaks boldly. We love our football teams. We scream our political allegiances. We whisper the words of Jesus.
