We Interrupt Our Regularly Scheduled Service - The Holy Spirit Has Something to Say.

So, yesterday started like every other day. It was early, and I was deep into my studies. Digging into more, reaching out for more and engaged.

Then, my phone beeped. I was interrupted by a fellow disciple who was having an issue with her email. (My work involves website development, hosting and email). I was annoyed that on a Sunday, in the middle of my quiet time, I had to drop what I was doing and help her resolve the issue. I didn't completely dismiss it, but I didn't give it my full attention either.

Not 10 minutes later when I continued to pray, the Holy Spirit, that voice in my conscience came back and said to me:

"Which is better? To continue in your thirst for knowledge and understanding in the Word or to help someone?"

That was convicting, and I had to reconsider my emotional response to the interruption. I went back to the issue with my clients email and did what I could to resolve it.

Later, in church, the Pastor focused the message was 1 Corinthians 14. …Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts…

Last night, before bed, the last thing I heard was Mate Sala (a Pastor on YouTube) on

Matthew 25-25-30 - The Parable of the Talents

The Holy Spirit wasn't just knocking; He was beating me up (in a good way).

So, today, we jump off the Red-Letter Journey - not for good but for good - if you get the pun. The whole point is not just to accumulate knowledge. At some point, what goes into your brain has to come back out.

The whole point of me podcasting is admittedly a little selfish. I love learning and then sharing that knowledge. But yesterday's message was quite different. It bore down on the concept of service and to serve and I have to admit that in my complete love of reading and devotion to the word, I had forgotten a simple fundamental. That knowledge apart from action is useless.

1 Corinthians 8:1b - Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

These notes are just me listening and responding to the message and looking for scripture to support what I was being taught. I think this is my mandate for 2026...>>> To Serve. This podcast is only one small aspect of what that means.
