The Four Horses and the United States

Before you start sending me all kinds of hate mail... I love the United States and what it has stood for (that past tense phrasing is very deliberate). I do not think the United States stands on these founding principles any longer. Our leaders take an oath to uphold the constitution, and I could write books about how they take that oath with a grain of salt. Once in power, our Constitution is only given consideration when it can be used as a club. The founding principles have been perverted and usurped... look no further than the principle of Separation of Church and State. These guys said it better than I ever could - I just happen to be a first-hand witness.

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." - John Adams

"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports." - George Washington

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters." - Benjamin Franklin

"God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis — a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God?" - Thomas Jefferson

"It is when a people forget God, that tyrants forge their chains." - Patrick Henry

"A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy." - Samual Adams

"If we and our posterity reject religious instruction and authority... no man can tell how sudden a catastrophe may overwhelm us and bury all our glory in profound obscurity." - Daniel Webster
