Looking for Defects in the Passover Lamb

Jesus is constantly being tested. We're in Passion week. They're looking for a defect in the Lamb. Today, something has changed. In our last podcast, we saw one of Scribes almost do a fist pump upon hearing Jesus response to the Sadducees regarding Resurrection. Why, because Jesus' answer was something that put the Sadducees back in their place. They were quieted... something the Pharisees had failed at for 100's of years. So for a brief moment, at least one of the scribes was siding with Jesus.

Then, shortly after this moment, Jesus is presented another test. Jesus' answer is so soundly theological and consistent that they can do nothing but commend him for his response. But Jesus looks back at the person who is commending Him and says, Man, you are so close to the Kingdom, I bet you can taste it. But, and here's the rub, Jesus is saying that to a person who refuses still to cross the Jordan.

Jesus doesn't leave them wondering what they missed! He interprets Davids Psalm 110 and they leave quietly. They know they missed something and then decide not to engage.
