From Grief To Joy

The closer we get to the Cross in our Red-Letter journey, the deeper it gets. The disciples are in a confused emotional state. They are hearing a lot but not completely understanding. The beauty of this in scripture is that, through their confusion, we hear Jesus' responses and explanations, which help clear up our own confusion. You could easily spend a week on John 16:12-33. We will do what we can to cover this in a single podcast.
You may have noticed that the content of the most recent podcasts overlaps each other. That is intentional repetition. In my opinion, this is some of the most important scripture and it bears repeating. I would even urge you to consider binging: relistening to this podcast series starting back at "Palms and Psalms" January 22 - The beginning of the week when Jesus enters Jerusalem or if you want a shorter review, go back to "Something happened on the way to supper" - February 20 - The beginning of the night of the Last Supper. and binge the podcasts from that point moving through to today's podcast.
For the deeper study: read John chapters 13 - 16.
Binge from the Podcast from Feb 20 "Something happened on the way to supper" to this one: "From Grief to Joy"
Go back and read John chapters 13-16 again.
I'm betting if you do that you will come away with a keen understanding of what the scriptures are teaching. That's my hope anyway.
