Christ's Return - Biblical Timing - Theory and Prophecy

We created this Berean filter to evaluate our own interpretation of scripture and to interpret scripture using scripture. Today we started a conversation based on the transcript from a video by AOC Network on YouTube called: This May Be Why Jesus is on His Way… The THIRD DAY is FAST Approaching!

Sometimes it feels like we are talking to Data, from Star Trek. We had to teach our Berean Filter bot to be a little more forgiving; yet, still maintaining the ideal, interpretative framework that helps keeps us within the construct of the Bible BUT forgive the human's imperfect presentation of a theory. Spoiler: Ultimately, we were able to get our Berean Bot Filter to acknowledge that while the content could not be considered strict doctrine, it does maintain consistency within the confines of the scriptural construct and can at least be read (or watched) as a plausible theory.

The point of this podcast is to reflect on the ability to be discerning with information that is derived from ideas from within the Bible but cannot necessarily be applied as doctrine. Our Berean filter helps keeps us honest even though its unforgiving nature must be tempered by a real human push-back to allow a human to make mistakes. It's ok to call us humans out on doctrinal error but it is not ok to shut down the conversation because something was interpreted as doctrine even though it was posited only as an idea or a theory.

Ultimately, the Berean Filter could not claim that what was stated in the video was wrong. It could only compartmentalize the response as theory. That's fine by me! That's how even science moves forward!
